Legendary NY Knicks Star Earl Monroe to Sign Copies of New Autobiography “Earl the Pearl”

Basketball Hall of Famer Earl Monroe will be making an appearance at the Mendham, New Jersey book store, Mendham Books, next month to sign copies of his new autobiography, “Earl the Pearl.” Monroe was a four-time All-Star who spent a decade of his 14-year NBA career with the New York Knicks, helping to lead the team to an NBA Championship in 1973. He retired in 1980 and was enshrined into the Naismith Hall of Fame in 1990.

The Philadelphia native co-wrote his autobiography with bestselling author Quincy Troupe and it’s said to “retrace his life from his upbringing in a tough South Philadelphia neighborhood through his record-setting days at Winston-Salem State, to his NBA Rookie of the Year season in 1967, his tremendous years with the Baltimore Bullets and ultimately his redemptive, championship glory with the New York Knicks.”

Monroe will be signing his book at the store located in the Mendham Village Shopping Center on Route 24 in Mendham on Tuesday, April 23, at 7 p.m.
